This week my husband treated himself to an very early birthday present of a camera  - and I had to practice on my cards of course but WAY too many functions for me!...if I'm honest dont know how I actually managed to upload this onto my blog :)
But what a difference to my photos wow really impressed !

So I felt it was only fitting that I made a real early birthday card for him ..and play along at the same time with  a couple of challenges. My husband works with computers and when I looked at the
CAS on Sunday challenge they were looking for cards with a number /s on them so flicked through my stamps and came across this one..perfect ! He hates fussy things he's much more of a  plain and simple kind of guy so this should appeal to him.!

I'm hoping this one will also fit in with this weeks CAS(e) this Sketch! which has this sketch to follow

Off to have lunch now ,but thanks for taking the time to look

Poppies

Hi hope you have had a great weekend I did!..went to see the Body Guard at the theatre on Friday night with a friend and I was dancing in/out of my seat!Good job everyone else was too :)
But it seems to have kicked off my mojo as I  made a few cards over the weekend ...think it might have been all  that glitz!

Though my card is kinda of restrained in the glitz department the red and black of the stars finale number had me making this card and thought it would fit in over at the Time Out challenge as the theme there is a CAS card with an optional twist of black and white and one other colour.
I simply cut out along  rectangle and covered it with DP and added the Memory Box poppy die cut stamped the SU sentiment on a scrap of cardstock and then added the sequin  to finish.
Thanks for taking the time to look

Muse take 2

Marion's gorgeous card over at the Muse Challenge!

Decided as my first card was so much like Ardyths card (and a poor replica at that) to try another- went this time with the same colours , but changed the  sentiment, the shape to a rectangle and the flowers (sorry about the photo but had to use the daylight lamp again) and look  a totally different card ...yay!

I used mama elephants happy sentiments and wplus9 flowers this time
I also thougt that it would fit in to the challenge over at CASology which is Blossom

I forgot to mention in my last post that I would like to say a huge thank you for voting for my  last weeks card delighted to get an honourable mention...wahoo!!!!

Muse 109

Be warned this is a bit photo heavy!
:-)

This week at the Muse Challenge
we have a beautiful bright and cheery card for inspiration from the talented
Marion!

I'm pretty sure when you saw my card you thought  that my muse was Ardyth this week ! Honestly you could have knocked me down with a feather when  I saw Ardyth's card this week for the Muse Challenge because guess what was sitting on my desk ready to be finished after work today???

Look familiar?? check out Ardyths one this week on the Muse blog hee he.
I admit that I am a great admirer of Aryth's style of card making, and over the years have scrutinised her cards to see where and how she comes by her ideas ...maybe a bit too much! But thanks to her I have really looked at the photo inspirations in a new way.So thank you Ardyth for opening my eyes.

I wasn't going to post this one as it looked too much like a CASE of Ardyths but then changed my mind it is slightly different!
I took my inspiration from the circle in the birds house ,colours and the flowers on the top quarter of Marions card. The sentiment was because I had new stash from Altenew delivered this week and wanted to try it out ...they are awesome hee he.

Muse

Hi everyone, hope you are all having a good weekend
It is Mother;s Day here in the UK and hope all the mum's out there are being well and truly pampered!

Boy did I struggle with this weeks Muse challenge! When I first saw Michele's card I thought wow beautiful.....then the reality hit sometimes the most beautiful and simple are not as simple as they look!! :-)
First I had just scraps of black cardstock left and no yellow and except this one sheet which in RL life is a more goldy yellow and I am really not good with DP,so there was umpteen goes of making different toppers , hair pulling and grinding of teeth, but was determined to take part in the challenge,(the Muse challenge has gripped me from when I first came across it I think its the great inspiration and  the voting by others to decide the winners )...until finally I had a lightbulb moment at half six this morning, thats when I decided to use this bargain bin flower stamp.I then reversed Micheles idea by colouring the spaces with a yellow promarker to make the image pop out a bit (wanted it to look hopefully a bit like DP paper). Then mounted it on black cardstock and  added the SU sentiment. Finally a complete card!!!!!!
