Fusion

When I saw the Fusions cue card this week I just knew what I wanted to do because I had the new card kit from MFT delivered this week and boy I LOVE it!!

I wanted to kinda of mimic the way the flowers went up the cake  but then I got carried away and added the small flowers ...as you do when you are having fun so feel it maybe a bit too busy now but hey ho .

I used hero arts inks cornflower blue and navy and SU lucky limeade and MFT jelly been green for the leaves.The panel is a scrap left over from the wedding cards I made recently, and the sentiment is Altenew label love .

I've already said it I know but I am soooo bad at blending inks and this weeks challenge at MCV has beautiful blending by Stephanie...I did try and will have to plant a tree for the amount of paper  I wasted!

So I   went with the colours- white black green and red

 the  deer,

 and the sparkles

I got the closest sentiment that I could and it was meant to go across the top but it was slightly too big depth wise next time I will stamp before I cut the panel :)

Case this sketch

I thought I'd play along at this weeks CAS(E) this sketch! love these little robots from Clearly besotted and have nobody to really give it to... but I had fun colouring them in and the 'confetti' I made with SU markers .

Muse DT 167

Once again it is my turn to be the Muse this week ..where are the weeks going! just 6 weeks til the summer holidays wahoo!

This week it is something a little bit different for me card wise, no flowers but still hope it will inspire you to play along .This week I diecut a  row  of  gift boxes that  I Paper pieced with a rainbow of  Colours  but it doesn't have to be gift boxes it can be anything! or maybe you might only want to   use the colours  or the heart ??? feel free to use the muse card in anyway you like!

 The dies were from SSS and the sentiment is from Paper smooches  which I managed to put on just the tiniest bit squint ...oops:)

Finally I added a wink of stella to the boxes to make them sparkle as you can see from the picture below and a little heart to say ..given with love !

Passion for promarkers

I came across a new challenge for me which fitted in beautifully to what I was sitting doing at my desk ,trying to colour in these poppies from Clearly Besotted with my promarkers and flexmarkers.... Passion for promarkers!!! 

I have used the other poppies in the set and used a different technique but wanted to try using my promarkers especially as I'm not the best at shading with them....  must admit  still not 100% happy with them and found them very hard to photograph as they went a funny shade.... they are much duller red and prettier(well I think so) in RL! 

I used chalk on the background and in the centre of my flowers and if you are looking for my stripes or spots as the challenge states I'm hoping the  the stripey twine will fit the bill!.

A few of the people I know are coming up for retirement soon - another one in work at the end of next month so if you are looking Susan....... this card will be winging its way to you soon! :)

This week Anita made us beautiful and shimmery card I couldn't match the colours so went with what I had.

SU Melon mambo card , smokey slate and lucky limeade inks

The fabulous sentiment is from Uniko Studio and the flower, like Anita from Clearly Besotted.To get the shimmery look I coated the flower in wink of stella.

MCV 44

This weeks muse over at MCV is Chriss and I have had the pleasure of playing cards with her before.,and she has given us this beautiful serene scene for our inspiration this week.

I am hopeless at blending and usually I do try but for some reason  my eye was drawn to the green colour only ...so I decided to go with that!

 The other elements that I was drawn to was the row of  heat embossed white trees and the diecut JOY backed in black .So thank you Chriss for the inspiration this week.

Last year I took part here and by Christmas time I had more than enough Christmas cards to do me and even had a few left over !but it was great to have most of them written and stamped in November rather the last minute rush.So feel to join us over at Muse:Christmas Visions :)

Cas(e) this Sketch

 This week over at Cas(e) this Sketch I loved the layout it is just my style and then I realised it is so much my style that I couldn't think of anything new!! 

Decide to use a stencil by Studio 490 for brick work  and old flower/weed from goodness knows where !wanted the softness of chalks but now thinking it looks a bit washed out ??

Added some distressed coloured butterflies , a su sentiment and a wink of stella and in RL the flower/weed and butterflies really twinkle ....  honest :)

When I saw Kimberleys beautifully sparkly card for this weeks MCV I just has to play along !

Unfortunately I didn't have a stag and my mind kept going to an old sentiment I had of SU 's and then it just seemed it had to be a star ...thought processes are so weird aren't they!

But to show that I did take inspiration from Kimberley's card I chose to follow :_

The colours ..... white, red and silver

The  glitter ...used glittery paper instead 

The white panel on top of the red panel

Silver heat embossed sentiment

I used a ribbon instead of a scarf and added the snowflake and gem!

Muse: Christmas Visions 42

 

It has been a frustrating week so thought I would have a wee play to forget about what's been going on and I had the WHOLE day to myself ....but nothing was working out so binned the lot and decided to look at my favourite challenges that I have badly neglected while the wedding invitations were getting (almost) done (and no the dies are still not here!!!)

Loved the idea of the two baubles on Such's cards over at Muse:Christmas Visions

So here is my take on  her bright and cheery card !

I took inspiration from her colours and baubles 

Stamped in the middle of  the baubles and the black sentiment.
