MCV 37

Its that time again for Muse :Christmas Visions and we have a guest designer Emily Leiphart!!!
She has done a gorgeous and fun card for us and at first I struggled but then had a light bulb moment and decided to take my inspiration from :-
the Yeti /abominable SNOWMAN which I popped up like Emily's central figure (meant to do his scarf blue but oops forgot)
the trees
the speech bubble
DP
So thanks Emily for getting me to put my thinking cap on!.... and actually I kinda like this one now that its made, came out better than I expected.
Well off to make the tea now squeezed in some crafting time before the family comes in.
Thanks for taking the time to look

It is the last week of term ,yippeee... and the last Monday in March so it is my turn to be your Muse this week .At our school we have a teacher who is retiring soon so I have made a card to give (hopefully she won't be peeking on my blog before then!)

I know she loves pottering about outside so I used a Clearly besotted new release and thoroughly enjoyed colouring it with my favourite technique...yeah blender pen and ink :) but this time I added some yellow chalk to the centres and gently smudged it over one side of the petals.I then grounded my image with smudged green and blue to hopefully give the impression of outdoors before finally adding the butterfly and sentiment.
I mounted it on  black cardstock then worried that between the poppies and the black trim it would look more like a sympathy card !!  what do you think ??
I hope that I can inspire you to play along with us this week... can't wait to see what you come up with!
:)

Muse Christmas Vision

I am on a roll this weekend have decided with working these extra hours that one day of the weekend I'm going to do things I want to do first!
I fell in love with Cornelia's beautiful card for this week's MCV look at those colours!!!...but inking isn't something that I find easy :(
So though I know my card does look so different from Cornelia's there is inspiration from her card there :) Honest!

I have used a silhouette stamp from Clearly Besotted
My inking does fade so can we say ombre???
I have a moon rather than the sun going down but it's round!
and my sentiment is under my images
Instead of stars I made snow falling with liquid pearls and the use of a pin to keep them small
My trees I dotted with a white pencil

Thank you for taking the time to look

Muse 157

This week's Muse is Anita and she did this gorgeous card that looks like it would be so simple to CASE...except for me it wasn't ! was really struggling until I had a light bulb moment due to Ardyth's card I had done the same middle part at least 15 times when i saw Ardyth's card in the gallery and tried it as a SQUARE card and it worked so much better for me... well in my eyes :)
The one thing that popped out at me on Anita's card was the word fabulous which I paired with a SU sentiment, so I started with that and then used a mama elephant flower set .
So my inspiration this week came from the :-
sentiment
colours
flowers
Thanks for taking the time to look, hope to see you in the gallery!

Wedding card

I have friends that after a 24 year long engagement (yeah you read that right!)  have decided that the time is right for them to now get married! and as my friend is one that  defies convention at the best of times I decided that a less traditional  card was maybe the option to go with.
So I found at the back of a drawer these fabulous steampunk stamps that just cried out to be used as a wedding card ,an impulse buy that has never been used....
I just highlighted them with a grey and pink ink and used promarkers for the skin and a clearly besotted sentiment but wishing now that I had left off the two hearts ????
This is something so different for me, but I kinda enjoyed using something different for a change|!
Thanks for popping in for a look

Muse 156

 http://icardeveryone.blogspot.com/2016/03/muse-card-club-challenge-156.html
Our Muse this week is Michele ferguson and she did a really beautiful array of thank you cards with a popped up sentiment being the main theme.Alas I do not have a large one like Michele so I decided to pop the whole of my top section up !
I loved the citrus- y colours of this one and the way that it went diagonally across the card ,so using SU regarding dahlias masked the flowers and stamped diagonally then just added a SU thank you from the 4U set inked in memento dandelion.
Very simple but I kinda like it !
(Sorry for the bad photo but its overcast again here and even a daylight would struggle in this light!)
Thanks for popping over for a visit!

Mmm feel this is a pale imitation of this weeks Guest Designer Natasha's one, don't you think that the more you look at Natasha's card the more you see ?it reminds me of a page from a story book!
I found the inspiration from Natasha's
balloons
animal
layout ..well roughly!
shading
Thanks for taking the time to look and I'm sorry I haven't been posting much lately but have been doing so much overtime by the time I do the tea washing etc its bedtime :(  but only a few more weeks of this and I should be back to normal!:)
