Muse #99

This must be a record for me three cards in a week... last year I was lucky if I managed 3 in 3 months!
Don't know about you but I only made one New Year resolution this year and that was to make more time to do things that I enjoy, and that seems to involve an awful lot of card making, hence the 3 cards! and an ironing pile that has grown ever bigger with each passing day, think I must be sticking to t! :)

The Muse challenge is back after the holiday break with this great card by Vicki Dutcher

My take on her card was to use the red white and black colour scheme and for the circles I paper pierced a circle around my cut out one, then die cut the Wplus 9 'happy' from black and white cardstock and layered it with the black as a shadow.Stamped the su birthday and layered it up and finally added the stars rather than sequins as I felt my card had a more masculine/teen feel to it.
off now to have a peek at what everyone else has come up with

  2. This card reminds me of that old show with Fonzie and Richie - Happy Days! Love the retro feel and the bold colours! And we are definitely beneficiaries of your resolution (I for one don't care if you never iron again! lol!) Thanks for joining us at Muse this week!
