Color Throwdown

Over at the Color Throwdown  they are asking that our cards have green, red and cream on them .I had this little Inkers stamp for years and had never used it,but once stamped loved it!!.I coloured it with promarkers and a little bit of wink of stella for a little bit of sparkle:)
But needed to add the cream so I used a creamy toned perfect pearls and dotted them  around.
Sorry about the photograph it is very overcast and dull here today !

Thanks for looking

Cas on Sunday

I was delighted to be a winner at Cas on Sunday and delighted to be a guest designer for this weeks challenge .Which was the sketch below.

I did take a bit of artistic license and turned the sketch the opposite way(read that i had stuck it down when i realised it was on the wrong side ...sorry!) but hope you can see where my inspiration came from .For my card I used distress inks to make the background then stamped the images and using an old  SU punch to highlight the silhouette images. The snow is an white gel pen :)
Thank you for taking the time to look

The Male Room

This weeks challenge over at The Male Room was definitely a challenge for me ! I dont think I have made a kenetic card before So I kept it really simple ...mostly because that was my limit  :)As you can see I stamped and coloured the little camper van twice and then fussy cut them out before sticking them together after running a clear thread between them and attaching them under the red cardstock finally adding the sentiment ...Sounds so  simple doesnt it?? well it was except it took a few goes to get it (almost) right :)
Thank you for challenging me in this challenge Male room !

Color Throwdown

I have missed the deadlines for the last few challenges over at the Color Throwdowns so was determined to get there this week....that was until I saw the colours :) and my mind went totally blank.
But browsing through my stamps and taking inspiration from the keyword photo  I saw this stamp set and thought I could incorparate the cranberry(in my case a dark wine coloured red) colours on the tips of the flowers, not sure if it can actually been seen though !
Flower cards are my nemsis I cant do them for love nor money :) so thought that I better just add a sentiment that can be used for any occasion !

Thanks for taking the time to look

Male room challenge

Over at The Male Room challenge they are asking for our cards to have trees on them .This is a very old stamp but love how it looks with nightime colours.
I stamped it directly on top of the distress ink background. Then used promarkers for the lights in the windows and then wink of stella on the roof ,trees ,fence and little  bits of the snow.Everyone needs a bit of sparkleSome perfect pearls on the background to mimic falling snow.(It kinda of reminds me of a snow globe :) and to finish it I added a popped up sentiment.

Color Throwdown Challenge

I was so chuffeed to see my card as the featured stamper on the Colored Throwdown Challenge last week ...I ddi a happy dance ! :)

I was sent what this weeks colour challenge was , which were the colours red, blue and yellow.I quickly trolled through some stamps as initially I thought a childrens card then came across these Clearly Besotted love birds/parrots and thought that they would make a great anniversary card or even an engagements card! I coloued them in with my promarkers and even coloured the little leave with blue and yellow to make it green :) and then fussy cutted them out - don't look too close please! Then added some foam dotsto pop them up on the heart and finished with one of the sentiments from the set .

I would never have thought of doing hese colours but love it ,so thank you Color Throwdown  for pushing me out of my comfort zone !

Thamk you for looking

Red,Greenand Blue

While l was looking for inspiration today I came across the Color Throwdown challenge and it just straight away made me think of a snowman with the blue sky behind him.
I used a Penny Black snowman stamp and then blended some blue chalk for the card using a circle mask for the winter sun, after I had coloured my snowman with promarkers I used a little bit of wink of stella to mimic some frosty sparkle.I then added the sentiment one from years a go but one that is still one of my favourites for Christmas, before popping my image up on foam and that was it  done!
Hope you like it and thanks for looking !

James Bond birthday

It has been a while since I took part in a challenge but when I saw the challenge over at the Alphabet Challenge blog was masculine card I just had to take part! My husband loves a James Bond movie and I got this digi image free in a magazine years and years ago and decide to make a card for him .I think I took me longer to line up and get it straight an old SU happy birthday sentiment ,than it did to make the rest of the card :)

Apologies about the photograph it has been raining here in scotland and so even with a daylight light not as sharp as I would have liked it - or maybe it is just my phone :)

Thanks for taking the time to look
