MCV 46

I've already said it I know but I am soooo bad at blending inks and this weeks challenge at MCV has beautiful blending by Stephanie...I did try and will have to plant a tree for the amount of paper  I wasted!
So I   went with the colours- white black green and red
 the  deer,
 and the sparkles
I got the closest sentiment that I could and it was meant to go across the top but it was slightly too big depth wise next time I will stamp before I cut the panel :)
Thanks Stephanie for a brilliant inspirational card love how your image comes over the edge !!

Thanks for taking the time to look

  1. I recognize both those stamps - I didn't realize that you are a Stampin' Up girl, too! Love the double mat - very festive! As for blending, try making sure you use coated (smooth) card stock (like Whisper White) and make sure your sponges are really saturated with ink. I had a much harder time blending on Neenah. And then, like everything else, it's just practice, practice, practice! Thanks for joining us at MCV, Jenni!

  2. Your card is so cute with that little deer! Its perfect for this weeks challenge! - I just read Ardyth's comment - I only use the cheap card stock from Staples for all my cards. Even if the colors at first look a bit splotchy, they usually even out when they are completely dry. Most of the time it does not need to be perfect - you are stamping over it anyhow, so slight imperfections just won't show much. I'll post my Muse card tomorrow - it was not perfect - but as far as I can tell it does not show. Let me know and maybe you should rescue some of that card stock and use it for other projects ;)

  5. I know, it's the same for me, some techniques will never be good no matter how I try. This card you have succeeded anyway, nice work!

  6. Wonderful interpretation of Stephanie's card. I like how the elements from the Muse inspired you to make a beautiful card.

  7. You're not alone in finding all that ink blending a challenge, Jenni! (I think watercoloring is much more forgiving.) And, of course, I love a card with neither like this one! Clean, crisp, beautifully matted, and with an awesome sediment ~ a perfect interpretation!! Hugs, Darnell
