A big thank you to all my followers

Over at the Cas Christmas Challenge we have been asked for Christmas tree and my one actually started off to be one for our foster baby's 2nd Christmas with us ....but for the life of me I couldnt find the sentiment that I wanted for him in my stash !so we went for the friends make the holidays ,as feel that i can make use it better with that sentiment.

The image is by Penny Black from the Holly Jolly set and after I coloured it in I just felt that it was a bit plain - which is unusual for me I am strictly a less is more person!
So I added polka dots to his scarf and gloves and then some red and gold stickles as baubles to the tree and of course perfect pearls for the snow.
:)

Thank you for taking the time to look

This  month over at the Cas Christmas Challenge ,the theme is the Twelve days of Christmas and I decided to use that famous Paper Smooches that I love so much and use the doves as the Two Turtle Doves in the song. There was only one dove and so had to try mirror stamping and had a few goes and decided these were the best of the bunch !

I used a pale blue  marker pen to highlight the top of the images and added a touch of wink of stella..... ,because well Christmas cards just call for a bit or sparkle!!! :)Then a few holly berrys to the leaves and it was done, apart from mounting it on a scrap of mirror card.

Thank you for taking the time to look!

Nativity

Hi there hope everyone is well and enjoying the Summer ,for Scotland it was looking not bad with plenty of sun until this week and itis now  back to rain again.Having a few wet eveninsg I was able to finally finish this card for the
CAS Christmas Card Challenge who asked for our card to be themed around the Nativity.

I love the Paper Smooches nativity stamp set but hadn't used the one above yet and Im really happy how it turned out....hoping you do to!.
(I dont know about you but its funny the things you struggle with when making a card and on this one it was the stripes on Josephs headdress they kept going wavy or maybe i just have a very shaky hand!:)
Thanks for taking the time to look

Merry Christmas

What a faff this card was !!!

I decided to join in at the challenge over at
Cas Christmas challenge which this month is for winter berries ,but if it could go wrong with this card it did.... and then I had decided that it was looking a bit plain so cut out a green mat and then I went and stuck it down without putting it on!!!
oops...but it is done now and was intending to do it again (but layering up that die cut merry christmas from Clearly Besotted had me cross eyed the first time
let alone the other three times I had to do it!) and to top it our wee man is teething at the moment so not getting a lot of time in the evening .Last week he got his first tooth then three days later another one,but he kindly was up in the evening but not through the night so I cant complain - except its cutting down the time I can make cards :)
Thanks for taking the time to look I really appreciate it.

Friends make the holidays

I am sorry but I having some technical issues with my phone and my laptop syncing ???but I called in my IT specialist (my hubby :)! ) so hopefully these have been resolved now.But it meant that I had to delete my other post and start again ,but hey ho Im still relearning what to do  :) and also thanks Michelle for pointing out what had happened ,and so back to my card...

I found a Christmas card challenge that appealed to me over at

Their theme is to simply use a stamp,so I used this Stamping Bella one and then I hit another problem a lot of my marker pens have dried out :(  ...but thankfully  I have managed to ordered new ones ;) but that might be why the friends look like they are sitting in a mucky puddle ! Well that and my poor colouring of  shadows :)
Thanks for taking the time to look

It has been over two years since I have joined in with any card challenges due to me being busy with a change of career as a foster carer ... though I did continue to make cards I just had no time to post them.
So when I was ready to dip my toes back in I found while browsing the
Cas Christmas Card challenge. It really caught my eye and imagination I found myself heading straight for an old Clearly Besotted stamp set I have.
I used chalk to make the background and perfect pearls for the snow.I then adhered my coloured images and stamped the sentiment .....and since then I
have been humming and singing the song Santa baby all day long !!!

Thank you for taking the time to look ,now off to see if I can remember how to post this card on their blog site :)
