The Male Room Challenge no. 5

BLUEGREEN and BROWN

I have been struggling with my blog for a wee while now and I asked for some help through with my blog and Kylie from addicted to stamps and more kindly took it on hand and WOW she has done an awesome job and made it like my favourite cards ...CAS! so a huge thank you to her :-)

While browsing through some other blogs I came across The Male Room challenge (another new one to me) and as you know I really quite enjoy doing male cards ...probably because our family is really  male heavy!!
The challenge is to use the above colours  and yes the blue is quite hard to see but I sprayed it on lightly before stamping my image and yes I meant it to be that squint ..it's meant to reflect my hubby's driving (I assure you he is the most careful driver really!)

Supplies used:- cardstock brown and blue from stash, SU lucky limeade and sahara sand
Blue ink - blue food colouring
Brown SU close to cocoa
Sentiments Su and can't remember where I got the the car and the fun sentiment though they were from the same set .
Finally the bits beside the tyres are from a set by Uniko studio -explosion

Thank you for taking a peek and off now to make the tea .....weeeeell after I've had another quick browse!! :-) x

Card concept challenge 5

This weeks challenge for the card concept is these gorgeous colours that just screamed a male card to me and ok I didn't have as bright a green as that one - but lucky LIMEade is close right?
Not quite sure which style it fits but as the rectangles are all overlapping I'm gonna go for the clean and layering or is it graphic hee he Love the different styles of the design team and finding this a fun challenge... ..just wish I had found it earlier ! hoping to try all of the styles though know I will struggle with the shabby chic but isn't that what challenges are about ??

Supplies used:-
SU lucky limeade card stock and ink
Brown and white cardstock from stash
sentiment from SU best dad ever
Thank you for looking! x

Carnival

This week on CASolgy the theme is...

This is my interpretations of it (at the very last minute !) When I think of carnivals I think of those full blown street carnivals with all the beautiful  feathery headdresses and all the glitz! So made the first one... thought it looked a little bit too plain so added the matt and extra stickles but think I still prefer the first !
Also would like to say thank you to Kylie for offering to fix my blog but for some strange reason it seems to have done it all by it's self - weird ...but thats blogger for you!
Thanks for looking x

Big and bold male card

Think I might make three challenges with this card wow .... thats a first for me! Casology are looking for BOLD,and that has had me stumped until I remembered this James Bond download (took me longer to cut it out than print it!!) the boy in the sentiment to me is big and bold and of course James Bond is the ultimate bold hero, hope I'm not stretching it here :). Then this week both the Crafty Cardmakers and more and Less is More are looking for a masculine theme and so 3 challenges with one card! Hope you all have a lovely weekend too and thanks for looking x

money wallet

I was asked to make a money wallet, for someone at the work's grandson and this is what I came up with.... the teddy can be pulled along by the ribbon (don't ask why I did that because its a bit like a chocolate teapot useless on a money wallet!! hee he ) Thanks for looking x p.s anyone else having problems with blogger when I add a pic all I get is gooblygook though it comes ok on the blog and it wont let me paragraph or set spaces ..weird! x

Colour Blocks

What a truly driecht and miserable day here in the North east of Scotland I was out earlier and came back like a drowned rat and still haven't got the heat up yet....but never mind its the perfect day to take part in some challenges:-) I made a card for my friends son who will be 21 this Tuesday, and with the off cuts I made one for the challenge over at Cas-ual Friday. They are asking for colour blocks, and this is my take on it.Think I can also enter it into the Cas.ology challenge as their cue card is for CONTRAST and the colour panel is definitely a contrast to the rest of the white card -I hope anyway!....Think it's going to be destined for another friends son who has a 17th birthday next month feel this is definitely a male card this one! I find I enjoy making male cards as you can get away with such bold colours and this is my favourite colour combo of red and Island indigo and lucky limeade from SU.The sentiment is also from SU. Enjoy what's left of your weekend off to have a peek at some of your blogs x

New

(I am attempting to use my Christmas present of a tablet to post this so please bear with me,computer literate I am not!) I think I might be pushing it here, but when I saw the challenge at Addicted to CAS ,I just happened to be making a card for my SIL who will be 60 this week, and the first thing I thought of was that my SIL was heading into a NEW decade and a NEW phase in her life as she officially retires... I made the card using pool party for the ;number 60 and the flourish which is from a retired Christmas Set of SU using Baja breeze ink. The flowers are punched and hand finished at the centres with a fine black pen and a gem. Finally the sentiment is also from SU. (The ribbon bow is there because I confess that I left an inky mark and needed to hide it oops).
