Baby girl

Just a quick post today , as I already have a baby boy card thought that I had  better get a baby girl one done for my nephew only a few weeks before his wife's due date and want to be all organised...for once!

Love this baby feet EF Used the negative side this time) wish I could remember where I got it from but pretty sure it was a bargain bin one!Love too the rocking horse from Clearly besotted .I coloured it using promarkers and cut the sentiments so that I could add the girl under the welcome baby.

baby boy/girl

Recently I have been fortunate enough to be asked to make some cards for people ,but if you're anything like me you prefer to get and idea of the style that they like,so I started sending them to my blog and that is when I realise that I am guilty of only really posting cards that I am entering into challenges...There is heaps that I have made, sent  and (sometimes ) sold that never make it onto my blog!!

So decided to make the time to post  more of these and turn my little blog into more of a gallery for people to browse by labelling them all and making them easier to find.

My baby boy card uses a Lawn fawn stitched die ,Clearly besotted sailing boat die, cut out on pink petticoat digi gingham paper (turquoise) paler in the photo then in RL, paper smooches sentiment in SU tempting turquoise ink.

My next card is my first ever shaker card ..except it doesn't really shake a lot need to get smaller sequins I think!! hee he.But reasonable happy ....after all I can only improve with practice !!!

All sentiments and rocking horse by Clearly besotted  and coloured using  promarkers.

Wedding and Christening

This weekend I have been busy doing some orders.

One of my work friends is going to a wedding and asked if I could make her a money wallet and card so this is the one she picked ,I have made one like this before but isn't it funny how we either add something or take away so you never really make the same card twice.!I added the middle square and the tiny diamantes at the top of the hearts this time and made the matching wallet...hopefully she will be pleased when I personalize it as requested

The second card is a christening card for my friends little girl.I really struggled with this one so in the end kept it really simple and mounted the front panel on pale pink card and hung a rocking horse charm from the ribbon ...but oh boy now I know why I never add ribbons ! I ended up calling in  a friend,thanks Susan!but still not happy with the ribbon wanted it to look the same on both sides! can this be done or am I being too much of a perfectionist??

Show CASE your style

I found another site that is new to me, while I was browsing and found it through the amazing Darnell's blog and its ShowCASe your style and its another CAS card challenge that is looking for one or more diecut on your card.

Weeell it just so happens this evening I was making a baby boy card for a work colleague and so my diecut is the circle that I cut out to showcase my SU ark stamp - love this stamp for baby boys or even twins :) and it was so soothing to get out my promarkers and have a colouring in session.

Card concept - Nautical

The  card concept challenge threw my this week as I didn't think I had anything nautical at all but come across this when I went to make a baby card ....am I stretching it here?? It is a boat (of sorts ) and it is on a sea!

The stripey paper is from the pink petticoat and the Ark is from SU coloured using promarkers .I think this style is of the  clean and simple variety don't you as there is lots of white space and minimal embellishments.

Really simple card to make (thankfully as thought I was going to miss the deadline!) but chose to do it a double length size so you can get the full effect of the stripey paper and thats it really ,not much else you can say!

Freshly made sketches

Well I have had a guilt free night of crafting and made 3 cards !! all because there has been football on the telly all evening ...bliss.

This is the first one a baby card for  in the box when you need one in a hurry. I followed the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches  and the paper is by pink petticoat -  and loving my sons new printer ( part of his 21st birthday gift) he needed it for uni work as it takes A3 paper for his drawings etc .....but it also takes card and prints out in true colours  wonderous machine ! :-) ... our one is on its last legs and the colour it printed this gingham paper was a dirty cream! Though must admit it is a bit paler in RL and the hearts do stand out a bit more.

Babies Galore

(they are much clearer  when you click on them promise)

This continues to be a really busy next few weeks with me practically working full time (roll on the Easter holidays!) so today would be my only chance to catch up with the Less is More challenge which is a colour challenge head over there to see the yummy colours they have come up with and because the next few months are full of arriving babies that's where my head is at ,so chose to do a baby girl card.

I die cut gingham paper from Pink Petticoat and a smaller white one and layered it up .Stamped the baby shoes (just love this stamp for baby girls) in sepia , and so that the colours would be more vibrant for the photograph coloured them in last.  ...I used  ivory promarker for the inside of the shoe and Stampin up Pink pirouette for ribbon and stars.Computer generated sentiment and a little pink gem stuck in the middle of the daisy finished it off and viola another card done and dusted!

The baby boy card I made for  someone I work with you became a grandparent for the very first time and think I have managed to incorporate all the colours in the challenge over at the Friday Mashup blog have watched this challenge but never actually took part til this week which has a picture inspiration and for a baby card and it was a very good source of inspiration! 

The gingham paper was again from Pink Petticoat and the stamp is from Stampin up the colours I used were :-

 pastel beige(arc)

Finally you will be pleased to know that I'm nearly finished but just wanted to say hello to Morag who has joined me as a follower and who I very much enjoyed meeting at a crafty evening recently and who showed me some of her work and I was green with envy !! hee he

Shoe

                                                            
When I saw these weeks cue card at CASology just had to use this baby shoes,just love them! Have done them in pink before but instead of blue decided to use an aqua colour (SU pool party) ,just to be different :-) and used vintage sepia ink to stamp with not so harsh as black.
Felt it was a bit bland so stamped over some hearts to put in all that white space at the top and there you have it ,one baby card to add to the collection!

Brown and Pink

Whenever I saw this weeks Less is More challenge I knew what I wanted to do problem was didn't have the stamps that I needed to do it!...that was until Suze told me about a craft shop that was closing down so hot footed out there yesterday and they had exactly what I needed (and some extra that I didn't - well they were a bargain!)

                          
I used a cuttle bug folder for the embossing for the card,the baby shoes image is a fiskers clear set stamped in vintage sepia and coloured with a SU marker pen in blushing bride and the tiny tag is a SU one again with vintage sepia.

Still baby sitting for our neighbours so that their dad can visit mum in hospital, poor Maureen had to have another op on Fri so will try and comment but if I don't manage to apologies to one and all x
