Muse DT 216

For my card this week for Muse, I made one in a really simple in design but to make it pop a bit I stamped and coloured it some really bright colours and finished with a wink of stella .Almost impossible to see and photograph I know
!!!!I You will by now know by now, how I love the texture of this card stock and thinks it works especially great with these simple designs
I find myself drawn to this type of brightly coloured cards just now and can see myself making a batch of these  with different sentiments.
I hope it will inspire you to join in this week with us and can't wait to see what you come up with 😊

Thanks for popping in by for a look

Seven hill challenge

(once again I apologise for the photo it's just the Scottish East coast winter light! )

I hope everyone has had a gret time over the holidays we had a quiet time with family and friends but that suits me just fine!

Over on the Seven Hills Crafts blog they have a sketch challenge and dug out Papersmooches chubby chums to play along ..did take a bit of artistic license :) as I failed to count lines so Im one short ...oops and instead of the circle my chubby chum is taking its place.I also added the dog 'fleas ' which are from a clearly besotted set ,but think in hindsight I should have left them off!Aw well you live and learn... I'll know the next time.

Thanks for popping over for a look

Cupcake Inspirations 380

I headed over to Cupcake Inspirations this week looking for inspiration and I found it !

My stock of emergency birthday cards is getting low so decided to break out the water colour wonder set by Altenew and make a card using the colours. It didnt look right on a white card base and then I happened to notice what the cupcakes were sitting on so went with a coloured card base instead.
A few sequins and wink of stella to make it sparkle a bit and another card for the box done!

Thank you for taking the time to look I really do appreciate it!

Stamping sensations

*** One for The Boys ***

                                                               (stamping sensation)

I had to make a birthday card for a friend of ours and found it a bit challenging so fell back on a favourite  technique of mine ...two colours one image !.
As our friend is an avid football fan made it in his teams colours .For the life of me can't remember who makes the image but know its from a set! and the sentiment is an Altenew one
.
Thanks for taking the time to look

Cupcake Inspirations 376

I always seem to do the same challenges every time so this week I headed over to the paper playful  site that has a list of challenges for every day of the week and all styles, and found the
Cupcake Inspirations  challenge which had the above inspiration photo .
I really wanted to work on my watercolouring as I am pretty dire at it so thought I would give it a go with a SSS set and some MFT ink pads to make the colours deeper
.
As you can see the watercolouring is still a work in progress !!
Thanks for taking the time to look !

Muse DT 184

Hi there can't believe that this week is Muse's 184th challenge!!!

I had made two cards for the  Altenew challenge and decided to keep this watercolour wonder one for this weeks challenge.

I used versamagic sea breeze  ink to make the flower I thought that I wouldn't see the markings( and would have to do second generation stamping )  just using the same in on top again but it worked beautifully and stood out perfectly !!! and I even managed to shade it around the matting paper using my distress tool.

The leaves are Memento bamboo ink and the sentiment is from Altenew too.

A few of you have being asking me whereIi get my linen card from and just wanted to say that I get it from my local paper mill where the sell off their excess in a onsite craft shop .This linen card is meant to be for weddings but I love it for all of my special projects !!.

I do hope you will join us this week and can't wait to see your  creations in the gallery!
Many thanks for taking the time to look

Sevenhills Craft Challenge

I thought I would also join in with this months fun challenge over at Seven hills Craft Challenge where they have given us this great layout!
I struggled at first but then I used Lawn fawns Lets Bokeh set for the circles (or portholes!)and the sentiment and checked with the rules and I think Im ok to use clearly besotted robots for the centres.... is that right Tara??? they fitted so perfectly!
I then coloured them with promarkers and flexmarkers and added the dotted background in what I hope looks like party confetti!

Thank you for taking the time to look

Fusion

When I saw the Fusions cue card this week I just knew what I wanted to do because I had the new card kit from MFT delivered this week and boy I LOVE it!!

I wanted to kinda of mimic the way the flowers went up the cake  but then I got carried away and added the small flowers ...as you do when you are having fun so feel it maybe a bit too busy now but hey ho .

I used hero arts inks cornflower blue and navy and SU lucky limeade and MFT jelly been green for the leaves. The panel is a scrap left over from the wedding cards I made recently, and the sentiment is Altenew label love .

Thanks for taking the time to look

The fabulous sentiment is from Uniko Studio and the flower, like Anita from Clearly Besotted. To get the shimmery look I coated the flower in wink of stella.

Cas(e) this Sketch

This week over at Cas(e) this Sketch I loved the layout it is just my style and then I realised it is so much my style that I couldn't think of anything new!!
Decide to use a stencil by Studio 490 for brick work  and old flower/weed from goodness knows where !wanted the softness of chalks but now thinking it looks a bit washed out ??
Added some distressed coloured butterflies , a su sentiment and a wink of stella and in RL the flower/weed and butterflies really twinkle ....  honest :)

Thanks for taking the time to stop by

Muse 157

This week's Muse is Anita and she did this gorgeous card that looks like it would be so simple to CASE...except for me it wasn't ! was really struggling until I had a light bulb moment due to Ardyth's card I had done the same middle part at least 15 times when i saw Ardyth's card in the gallery and tried it as a SQUARE card and it worked so much better for me... well in my eyes :)
The one thing that popped out at me on Anita's card was the word fabulous which I paired with a SU sentiment, so I started with that and then used a mama elephant flower set .
So my inspiration this week came from the :-
sentiment
colours
flowers
Thanks for taking the time to look, hope to see you in the gallery!

Muse DT 154

My turn again to be your Muse this week ...yay !and I made something that it so out of character for me, because I used digi DP paper (pink petticoat digi papers to precise).I recently made this card and wanted to see how it would turn out in more pastel spring colours.Thought it would be great for my MIL Mother's day card as it is in a couple of weeks here in the U.K.

I stamped my image (clearly besotted) then punched out  3 smaller squares from it ,mounted them first on the larger squares then mounted them again on the cream panel. Adhered my digi paper and stamped the sentiment before finally popping on the cream panel to finish,a very simple  card but hopefully it will be inspire you to join in this week - will you use the patterned paper, the flower image ,the3 squares .the layout or simply the colours ?? I can't wait to see!

Addicted to Cas

I haven't played over at the Addicted to CAS challenge for ages but when I saw their codeword was red just couldn't help playing along !
I am loving these Clearly Besotted robots and so decided to use them for todays card.... I think my card is pretty self explanatory! I apologise for the photo I must have taken well over 40 photos but even with my light box still looks dull but I'm sure you get the idea :)
Thanks for taking a look

Muse DT

Hi everyone, I am so excited to be your Muse designer this week , Muse has been a long time favourite challenge for me as everyone is so friendly but the best bit has to be for me ,the voting for your favourite card in the gallery.....

So for my first card I decided to go with all my favourites !

I went with  die cut panels  in the middle (my default setting as you know!) then  coloured it with spun sugar  distress ink and stamped some text on it ,before adhering my sentiment  - which takes me about a dozen goes as it never stamps evenly ...well that just might be me actually:) and my all time fav flower from Clearly Besotted added off the edge and finished with liquid pearls.

Really, really hoping that you will play along with us this week and can't wait to see your take on my card and what element/s inspire you!

Thanks for taking the time to look

Muse 140

Ardyth is this week's Muse and when I saw her fun panda card I knew what I wanted to use but it didn't come easy I must admit and I ended up having penguins skating in all different directions all over my desk !But finally it came together .
I wanted it to look like the penguins were skating but one fell over onto his bottom and his hat was tossed in the air...did it work??? mmmm :)
The penguins and sentiment is from Mama Elephant and boy was that hat fiddly to cut .I loved how Ardyth has inked her bottom  panel to ground her panda's ,I used chalks I find these sooo much easier to use than inks for this kind of job !

I took my inspiration from :-
The movement and layout of Ardyth's pandas
The black and white focal images
The balloon in the air
Inked bottom panel
Sentiment under the images

I would also like to enter it over at the Playground  as the panel and that blooming hats are all snippets!

Many thanks for coming over and taking a look!
Eliz Stewart love your cute and playful dogs!

Muse 139

I just loved Tracey's simply gorgeous Muse card this week and couldn't wait to get upstairs and start creating.I made one card but felt there was just something missing  (although my son  said that he liked it way better than they one I'm posting!!)so I'll let you let you decide which one you prefer!!:)

The first one I covered it with vellum and used the same image and  inks and blender pen as my posted card...did I ever tell you that I just looove using inks and a blender pen....ok maybe I have said this before :)

I really like the second one I did ,so much so that I couldn't stop faffing and had to do a huge save as I put a huge mucky fingerprint on the front grrr. With this one I used TIm Holtz watercolour paper (rough side) to stamp and heat emboss my image before colouring and popping up on fun foam.
Both cards took inspiration from Tracey's :-

Colours
2 Flowers ( I used Clearly Besotted)
Sentiment (by Clearly Besotted)
Different sized fonts
Sequins
Panel
Also think I will join in over at the Playground its been ages ( I've been playing hooky sorry!)..... and I just saw that it is week 200! and Di has generously put up 3 prizes !!!! for this amazing landmark. Thanks Di .

Muse 135

(This is a better photo more true to the colours)

I know you must be wondering what my card has to do with this weeks Muse challenge ,but I promise it does ... well I think so anyway!

I really thought that I wouldn't manage to take part this week as I no idea where to go ...could I make a card with a fun sentiment ,autumn colours or leaves, flowers, design paper ,kraft, coffee (well the last was out had no coffee stamps etc)..... the list went on and on there are so many ways to go with Tracey's really clever and fun card.
But no I went for what kept catching my eye ...
I took my inspiration from Tracey's designer paper!

I tried to match the colours of the paper  and the way the flowers went, starting with white and then Su pool party and pumkin pie.The card base is lost lagoon but the sun (yes we have had even more sun here yay!) has made it lighter looking. To finish I placed my sentiment under and to the side and no,I wasn't brave enough to stamp directly on the card! :)
Hopefully you can now see where this weeks Muse took me

Thanks for taking the time to look

Muse

Over at the Muse challenge it is the turn of Joan to provide the Muse card and isn't it a beaut??

and this is my take on it.........

I may have been doing cards for a few years now, but really short on sentiments that actually say more than happy birthday etc.(mmm may have to rectify that ...) So apologies this is all I could come up with .
I took my inspiration from:-
The rows of script
The colours...I reversed then slightly!
A popped up panel (just for you)
Flower
To make the SU stamp look a bit more interesting I used an ombre ink from hero arts.I had intended to  make it smaller and tilt it at an angle but my OCD took over ..... :)

Thanks for taking the time to look !
